| Background | PIN1 is a peptidyl-prolyl-cis-trans-isomerase (PPIase) that specifically interacts with serine phosphate-proline or threonine phosphate-proline motifs. Upon binding, PIN1 isomerizes the peptide bond form cis to trans. Known substrates of PIN1 are serveral mitotic phosphoproteins (e.g. cdc25) as well as phosphorylated p53, phosphorylated β-catenin and phosphorylated tau protein. It is assumed that the isomerization of phosphoproteins regulates their biological function. |
| Storage | Store lyophilized (preferably in a desiccator) at -20°C and reconstituted (aliquote and freeze in liquid nitrogen) at -80°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Thaw aliquots at 37°C. Thawed aliquots may be stored at 4°C up to 3 months. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
