Immunogen
Swiss Prot Num:
P68005
Immunogen:
Synthetic Porcine peptide YY (Peninsula).
Application Immunofluorescence Microscopy: 1/1500-1/2500 using FITC with overnight incubation at 2-8°C.
Immunohistochemistry on Frozen and Paraffin Sections.
Recommended Positive Control: Frozen Sections of Rat intestine.
Background The intestinal peptide YY is related to the PP-family of peptides and occurs in the glicentin cells in the gut. They are numerous in the rectum, colon, and ileum and few in the duodenum and jejunum. PYY has hormone-like action, inhibits gut motility and pancreatic exocrine secretion and cause vasoconstriction. PYY may occur in endorine tumors of the pancreas and of the rectum.

Format
State:
Lyophilized undiluted Serum
Serum
Reconstitution:
Dissolve the antiserum in 50-100 µl distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1M PBS with 1% BSA and 0.09% Sodium Azide
Specificity
Specificity:
This antibody reacts with PYY (Peptide YY).
Absorption with 10-100 µg immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining.
Species:
Human, Rat, Mouse and Cat.
