Remarks:
Spleen cells from immunised Lewis rats were fused with cells of the SP2/0-Ag14 myeloma cell line.
Application Flow Cytometry: Use 20 µl of neat CD77 antibody to label 5x105 cells in 100 µl.
Immunohistohemistry on Frozen Sections (neat).  
CD77 antibody stains germinal centre B cells, but not those of the mantle or marginal zone. It is also expressed by follicular dendritic cells, on endothelium and on some epithelial cell types.
Background CD77 expression amongst leucocytes is restricted to the B cell lineage, and only cells at a certain maturation stage express the antigen. It is also expressed by follicular dendritic cells, on endothelium and on some epithelial cell types.
