| Background | GSK3B, also known as glycogen synthase kise-3 beta, acts as a negative regulator in the hormol control of glucose homeostasis. Also, this protein has diverse functions as Wnt sigling and regulation of transcription factors and microtubules, by phosphorylating and ictivating glycogen synthase (GYS1 or GYS2), EIF2B, CTNNB1/beta-catenin, APC, AXIN1, DPYSL2/CRMP2, JUN, NFATC1/NFATC, MAPT/TAU and MACF1. Recombint human GSK3B, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventiol chromatography techniques. |
