The gene product was origilly identified as an antigen target in Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome, an autoimmune disorder. Mutations in this gene are associated with Brugada syndrome. Altertively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]. |
