Specificity
Specificity:
This antibody reacts with Penicillins G, V, N, Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, Hetacillin, Cloxacillin, and other antibiotics with penicillanic acid core.
Much higher affinity for hydrolyzed (open) beta-lactam ring than closed ring.
Does not react with beta-lactams with cephalosporanic acid core, other classes of antibiotics, or milk and serum proteins.
