Application	Western Blot: 1/200 - 1/500; this antibody detects bands of approximately 45kDa and 50kDa in HeLa cell lysates; a minimum incubation time of 1 hour is recommended with this antibody.
Background	This protein is a transcriptional modulator activated by TGF beta and may act as a tumour suppressor in colorectal carcinoma. It is found at high levels in skeletal muscle, heart and placenta. MADH2 exists in isoforms, a predominant long form and a short form missing the 30 amino acid exon 3. The short form shows DNA binding and higher transcriptional activation activity.
