Background FPRL1, a Chemoattractant Receptor also called Lipoxin A4 Receptor, functions as a component of the inflammatory response. Its stimulation results in neutrophil activation and desensitization of chemokine receptors in monocytes (Le et al., 2000). The receptor is up-regulated by interleukin-1 in normal human synovial fibroblasts.
