The encoded gene product presumably interacts with YY1 protein; however, its exact function is not known. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq]. Transcript Variant: This variant (3) uses an alternate exon in the 5' end, resulting in use of a downstream start codon, compared to variant 2. It encodes isoform 3, which has a shorter and distinct N-terminus, compared to isoform 2.
