Background of PRKACG antibody
cAMP-dependent protein kise catalytic subunit gamma is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRKACG gene. Cyclic AMP-dependent protein kise (PKA) consists of two catalytic subunits and a regulatory subunit dimer. This gene encodes the gamma form of its catalytic subunit. The gene is intronless and is thought to be a retrotransposon derived from the gene for the alpha form of the PKA catalytic subunit. PRKACG has been shown to interact with Ryanodine receptor 2.

Immunohistochemical analysis of PKA C gamma staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugad compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
